Dr. Samantha Waxman is a Clinical and Health Psychologist, and the co-founder of The Well Parents Centre.

She has been working in private practice since 2010, and has taken her years of experience working with stress, mood, anxiety, and relationships, and translated her knowledge into impactful presentations for employers and their employees.

Dr. Waxman is a sought-after speaker leading corporate workshops on topics relevant to employee mental health. These workshops are grounded on relevant scientific research and the latest evidence-based clinical practice, and provide attendees with practical strategies that actually work! Participants will gain new skills and insights into living more resilient and enriched lives. As a speaker, Dr. Waxman has an ability to take complex material and break it down into bite-sized, easy-to-understand pieces. She has a laid-back, approachable yet professional style, and very quickly makes the audience feel comfortable and engaged.

In her therapy practice, Dr. Waxman focuses on reproductive and perinatal mental health for individuals and couples. Her work includes supporting clients through infertility, miscarriage and loss, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and adjustment to parenting. She also provides treatment for various mood and anxiety disorders, stress-related difficulties, and relationship issues.

Dr. Waxman completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Queen’s University and has published research in the areas of chronic pain and women’s sexual functioning, as well as textbook chapters on sexuality, pregnancy, and childbirth. She is a registered member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, the Ontario Psychological Association, and the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies (CACBT). Dr. Waxman is a CACBT-certified Cognitive Behaviour Therapist and has also completed a specialized certificate in Perinatal Mental Health from Postpartum Support International.
